Katsuko Yashiro was born Katka of Irjul, a small village near the northeastern edge of the Golmore Jungle.

She led an uneventful childhood, until her late teens when she discovered a rusted eastern sword on a river bank. So enamored by the unfamiliar weapon, she would decide to leave her home in her late twenties to discover the world outside the woods.

Her travels lead her to an occupied Doma, where she met and petitioned an Auri master to train her in the art of Bushido.

Taking her masters name as her new city name, her newly learned mastery of the blade led her to become a retainer to Lord Naosuke, a Hingan daimyo, who she would serve for thirty years.Despite her years of service, she would never be granted Hingan citizenship but would be afforded estates in the ijin housing province of Kugane.

Turning her gaze to the west, Katsuko would take several trips to Eorzea to learn new skills and meet new peoples. There, she would discover a passion for photography, as well as meeting and connecting with her other wandering Viera sisters.Now the proprietor of an eastern style bath house that she established in La Noscea, she persues her passions and her friends, eyes towards the horizon and new frontiers.
